King David was not only the ancestor of Christ according to the flesh but he possessed the attitude that give thanks to God all the time so God said He is the One after God's own heart.
Do you know that in the Old Testament, season all the grain offerings with salt?
Lev 2:13 Season all your grain offering with salt. Do not leave the slat of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings.
The Old Testament is a copy and shadow of the New Testament.
Ro 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing God - this is your spiritual act of worship
Our body represent the offerings. Then, what is the reality of salt?
Col 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Salt stands for gratitude.
Originally, salt is used to improve the flavor of food or to preserve it.
Likewise, when we give thanks to God, our spirit is healing and incorruptible.
Thus, God gave the king of Israel to David by a covenant of salt.
2Ch 13:5 Don't you know that the Lord, the God of Israel, has given the kingship of Israel to David and his descendants forever by a covenant of salt?
He gave thanks to God for everything.
Ps 136:1-26 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever....
Job 6:6-7 Is tasteless food eaten without salt, or is there flavor in the white of an egg? I refuse to touch it; such food makes me ill.
Therefore we should give thanks to God all the time. That's God's will as well.
1Th 5:16 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Only for our salvation, our Father, Christ Ahnsahnghong nim came to this earth a second time and worked very hard without rest so that we could meet God the Mother who leads us to the heavenly home with Her great love and tender kindness.
